We are proud to be Asia's First Family of Automotive Retailing and very proud of the fact that we are walking in the footsteps of the great automobile retailing pioneer M. A. Quraishi who made history by creating Asia's first automobile dealership outside Japan in 1911 and we continue to be family owned and family operated since then and shall remain so for the next century and more.
The Quraishi family is a very close knit one and Soni is a family affair and even our customers are a part of our extended family. Leadership of the company and its ownership is shared by the two brothers Jim and Soni Quraishi. Jim Quraishi, the Chief Executive Officer is still active in the major corporate and capital decisions and sets the overall strategic vision of the corporation. Soni Quraishi is the President and Chief Operating Office and Managing Director and an automobile visionary. His contributions to development of Thailand's automotive retailing industry are immense and no history of Thailand's automotive history is complete without a significant mention of his innovations and accomplishments. He introduced the concept of multi-brand dealership and he also established Thailand's first auto exporting group. He also introduced such innovations as profit sharing, non-commissioned sales staff, no haggle, no hassle pricing, dealer day Sundays and countless other innovations that made Soni Motors most successful dealerships of the 90s. The fourth generation of Quraishis are involved in every aspect of the dealership and exporting operations from Sam Quraishi to Sunny Quraishi to Willie Quraishi to Daniel Quraishi to Yasir Quraishi. The responsibilities of these family members are clearly divided and many of the family members play an active role in our various businesses. The fifth generation is now coming up. They are young, but we are planning for them to have an opportunity to work with us too, when they complete their chosen education.
All family members have worked their way up in the organizations by working in all departments and learning the policies and procedures of the company. Their success in the organization is not guaranteed and they must work as hard as non-family members or even harder to make their place in the organization
